Beaver

The beaver is our largest and most impressive rodent with highly visible traces. With his distribution all over Bavaria the beaver occur in many parts of Bavaria today. Because of his comical appearance he has a positive image among students but only a few have ever seen a beaver live. Beavers are great to clarify correlations between their activity and conditions of the riverbanks. Heavily modified shorelines show conflicts and possible solutions how to deal with beavers nowadays.
